Named after his three daughters, the Begani Reserve is an exciting new project from Guillermo Garcia Lamadrid of the award winning Lamadrid Winery. A full-bodied blend of Malbec, Bonarda, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, famed Argentine winemaker Hector Durigutti (Los Bocheros and Clos d'Argentine) utilized second and third year French oak to accent the aromas of ripe blackberries, blackcurrants, dried violets. Sourced from estate vineyards in Agrelo, Mendoza’s prime wine producing region. Located at the base of the Andes Mountain range which offers a perfect growing climate of warm days and cool nights. This phenomenon allows the grapes to achieve excellent fruit and tannin concentration, which is responsible for the wine's structure. Loaded with jammy cassis and blueberry flavors, woven together with layers of floral and cedar notes. Amazing for under $15 a bottle!
"Dark plums, dark cherries, dried thyme, black pepper and cloves on the nose. Medium body with firm tannins. Structured, with a creamy texture and fruity character on the palate. Juicy finish. 60% malbec, 30% bonarda, 7% cabernet sauvignon and 3% cabernet franc. Drink or hold." James Suckling, 91 Points
